Aaron and Friends

Note: While we would love to show many pictures that captured the happy moments Aaron had with his friends and classmates, we have decided to blur the faces of his friends and classmates out of privacy concerns, unless and until we have got their consent to showing their faces in the pictures. We do not have the contact information for most of them. So please do let us know if you are in the pictures and would like to us to de-blur your face or even further blur your face (we tried to maximize the blurring effect without making the pictures completely pointless). It would be wonderful to share at least some of the original group pictures when we complete the consent-acquisition process. Aaron himself would have loved to see his friends and classmates shown on this Website as he really missed school and his friends. In his last few days, we frequently heard him talking with some of his school friends in sleep.

As Aaron’s parents and family, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you, Aarons friends and classmates, for having helped make his school years so rewarding and meaningful by working, playing, chatting or laughing with him. Please feel free to drop us an email or leave a message below if you want to talk about Aaron’s school life or share with us any aspect of your life that you are currently experiencing. Aaron would certainly have wanted to hear all these updates from his friends and classmates.

2. An Unforgettable Birthday Party with School Friends, Feb. 5, 2020.

On Aaron’s 10th birthday on February 5, 2020, we threw a party for him to celebrate with his classmates. Even though he had been absent from school for almost a year by then due to chemo treatment, his classmates all showed up, and they had a great time together, spending a half day eating food and cake, chatting, laughing, and playing bowling, while we were busy taking pictures. In retrospect, this might be one of the most memorable birthday parties for Aaron. We know for sure that Aaron would hold onto these memories for ever and we also hope that these pictures would serve as reminders for all his friends of these old good times while they move on to pursue their dreams. Aaron would be among their biggest and loudest cheerleaders.

3. Aaron and Some School Friends in Grade 6

Seeing these beautiful group photos has made us realize that we as parent do not really know much about his school life. For a young boy who was starting to develop his own identity and independent spirit, he had kept some of his school activities and relationships to himself or only shared with his old brother. If you have a story to tell about Aaron, we would love to hear it!

The following pictures were kindly shared by his grade-6 teacher Ms. Belanger and might give us some glances of his school friends and activities.

Again, if you are in any of the pictures and would like us to remove the blurring, please leave a message and your contact information. Thank you.
